So Glad to Meet You
Dewdrop Prayer Journaling...Where art and worship meet Jesus.
About me

Yesterday at church, someone told me they wished their life could be more like mine. Because my life seemed so perfect. I thought about that alot, my life has many broken places. I've been through depression, stillbirth, loss of job, ministry reversals, marriage and kid challenges and I won't even bother to continue. But,
I am Blessed...
Not because of a seemingly perfect life, it's not. But because...
-
I have Jesus, and Jesus makes all the difference in my life. He is for me! He's got me! I can't even tell you how blessed I am because I have Jesus!
-
I am married to a wonderful man--since 1993! Wow! that seems like a long time. Our life has not always been perfect but...
-
We have been fortunate to have some amazing Christian counsel in our life and great resources like Family LIfe, Weekend to Remember and tons of books.
-
I have a young adult son, who brings, so much laughter into my life and a few crazy, "Mom!" moments.
-
I was born into a really loving family--my parents are have been married nearly 60 years.
-
I have a ton of friends.
-
I have lived in California, Hawaii, Michigan, Texas, Illinois and Tennessee. Along the way I have picked up so many memories, stories, and friends--each one a blessing.
-
I have lived in the city, the country, the suburbs.
-
I now have a beautiful house in the country with woods and beautiful birds always at my feeder.
-
I lost 47 pounds three years ago and I feel so healthy!
-
I can walk and run everyday.
I hope I can share some of my blessings with you at whatever season of life you find yourself.
I really enjoy...
-
Cooking healthy.
-
Working out with my husband.
-
Hospitality.
-
Creating beauty in my home.
-
Camping in our pop-up.
-
Prayer Journaling, of course!

My favorite people
About my family...
Oh my goodness!! What can I tell you about the Sitler family...

This family is amazing, crazy, happy, funny, stressed, relaxed, busy, connected, loving, strategizing--a lot of things, not necessarily all at the same time. We also love being a pastor's family. Most importantly we are a family that loves Jesus, tries hard to love and support each other, keeps focus to stay together, pray together and play together.

So, I always thought parenting a pre-schooler was busy, that was until we entered Parenting Young Adults 101--season of life. I love this season. My 18 year old, Nehemiah, has been working Christian camp all summer. From there he is taking a pre-college class before returning to the Christian Boarding High School where he will complete his senior year. He pops in and out of our life, mostly unannounced. This year will be full of dual enrollment, college visits, coaching him through school , church activities and "Life". I have been fortunate to be a stay-at-home mom for the most part so I am savoring every last moment.

That leaves Lover Husband, David, and me to re-invent our life sans kids as we begin prepping for the "empty nest". This summer we went on our first "in a long time" family vacation without kids. We had fun! We did adult stuff, had adult conversations, ran our own schedules, went where we wanted--well and texted a lot of photos to Nehemiah.

We are so amazed at all the trails God has led us up, down and around, how he has kept us together, breathed life into our marriage at stale times and brought us this far.
